I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a tight ass as to how much I’m willing to pay for video games, especially those with subscriptions. Blizz crossed that line and I have no need of the free level boost. I honestly think that I may be done with WoW,… at least that’s the way i’m feeling about it right now.
omg they’re $10 more than mists oh no oh no oh no and it comes with a 90 boost which includes gear and if you boost a toon over 60 free 600 professions w ow
I don’t buy $50 video games, never have, and most likely never will. That $50 threshold is my personal line in the sand for ALL video games. Every single one, doesn’t matter what it is. That’s how I choose to spend my money. I don’t pay $20 for dvd’s/blu-rays and whenever Marvel double ships one their $4 comics that’s on my pull list, it gets dropped. Yes, with the subscription I’m paying more than $50 for the game, but that $15 a month goes to more than just the game itself and I let my son use my account. Besides, didn’t I say that I was a tight wad :)
As for the boost, I just have no use for it. There is nothing left that I need or want at level 90 and that might contribute to my initial reaction. I love the idea of the boost though. If my wife decided to get back into WoW, I might pay the $50 but that is unlikely to happen. I’m not trying to make this into a dis on Blizz at all. I’m still very much a fan. At this very moment, (and this could change), the expansion is not worth $50 to me personally. As we get to see more of what is in Warlords, I may come around. We’ll see.
